Are you looking for ways to change up your space, but you’re not sure where to start? This post is for you! Now that many of us are spending more time at home, we’re starting to notice things wen didn’t notice before. Have you considered reclaimed wood? It’s a way to add instant warmth and personality to your surroundings while also reducing your carbon footprint.
Whether it’s a big or small project, like adding a couple of bookshelves or a reclaimed wood mantle, there’s nothing like the feel and look of aged wood. Since 2015, I’ve been incorporating reclaimed wood in one way or another in my own home and for clients.
Raleigh Reclaimed offers all kinds of colors, shapes and sizes of wood. They are based in downtown Raleigh and open to the public. I shared this video a few years ago, but now that we’re all nestled in our homes like never before, it deserves a replay.
Raleigh Reclaimed has relocated to a much bigger facility at 2101 Harrod Street in Raleigh, NC. It’s a great place to walk around on a Saturday afternoon to get inspirations for your home. Their knowledgeable staff is super friendly, and can do anything from building you a custom table to installing wood beams (think mantles, ceilings) and of course, wood walls.
Over the years, I’ve helped many clients rethink their space. I can also help you figure out a cool design and what would really work for your specific taste and needs. The possibilities are endless!
